Saxophonist - Andy

Andy is best known for playing saxophone alongside DJs at UK bars, clubs, venues and festivals, but also performs at many private engagements and corporate events. He has played sax with DJs at weddings and parties for TV celebrities and pro footballers including ex England captain Steven Gerrard and TOWIE’s Elliott & Sadie Wright. He is regularly booked to perform his backing track sets which in recent years have taken him to Lauris in the Provence region of France, Belgrade in Serbia, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and the Guinness National Rugby Awards 2019 at Twickenham Stadium.

Andy had truly established himself on the UK club scene by 2006 and has since performed and/or collaborated with many respected artists and DJs and played at hundreds of popular UK events and venues. He has played sax alongside Judge Jules, Danny Howard, Sammy Porter, James Hype, Kenzie, Grant Nelson, Graeme Park, Danny Rampling, Marshall Jefferson, Seamus Haji, Hoxton Whores, Jeremy Healy, CJ Mackintosh, Seb Fontaine, John Kelly, Brandon Block and Alex P. Andy was also one of the original Hedkandi resident saxophonists in the early 00’s.

Andy is also known for touring the UK with Plan B upon the release of his hugely successful album, ‘The Defamation of Strickland Banks. He has played at a host of well-known venues and festivals in including Glastonbury, Royal Festival Hall, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Camden’s Roundhouse. He has also played on several TV shows including Later Live with Jools Holland and Alan Carr’s ‘Chatty Man’. Andy and his brother Alek are in the HP Beats Audio advert and are seen as Russian gangsters in Plan B’s directorial debut ‘Ill Manors’.

Andy is also a member and co-founder of Del Camino who has established itself as one of the most well-known and respected salsa bands in the UK. Del Camino has performed at a host of well-known venues and festivals including Glastonbury, Symphony Hall in Birmingham and The Lowry theatre in Manchester. Del Camino has supported some of the most respected names in the business including Robert Plant, Beverley Knight and more recently Plan B at O2 Academy Birmingham. The band continues to maintain their longstanding popular monthly residency in conjunction with LatinMotion at the Jam House in Birmingham.

Sax & DJ - Andy has been playing saxophone alongside DJs at venues and festivals across the UK and around the globe since the early 00’s and is one of the busiest UK sax players in the business.

Sax & Backing Tracks - Andy often gets booked to play saxophone along to his backing track accompaniment for a drink’s reception, during a wedding breakfast, or for just simply setting off the right atmosphere in a restaurant, bar or club. All of his backing tracks are of the highest quality and mostly sound just like the original recordings. He offers a diverse range of styles including Classic Pop, Soul, Reggae, R&B, Disco, House, Latin and Jazz and can make any of these eight genres the predominant style throughout his performance.

Weddings - Andy has played sax at a number of weddings that include a wide range of ethnicity, culture and faith.
