Maggie O’Hara

A versatile, professional and talented entertainer, Maggie has worked with many top acts and household names in theatres, clubs, hotels and holiday parks throughout the country, including Warners, Butlins and the Grand hotel chain.

In 2013 and 2014  Maggie had the pleasure of performing  in a national theatre tour with Freddy "Parrot faced" Davis, appearing also with Keith Harris and Orville, Jess Conrad, Steve Hewlett and Roy Hudd.  She also appears regularly with Birmingham based comedians Malcolm Stent and Don Maclean in both singing and acting roles.

Maggie covers a wide range of songs and styles and has an extensive repertoire. A typical set might include West End musical theatre showstoppers from Les Miserable and Phantom, standard pop hits from the 50s to the 80s, modern ballads, a bit of swing, lots of sing-a-long, audience participation and fun, often finishing up with a lively Abba medley. She will always tailor her material to perfectly suit the occasion, and is happy to include dance and party music if required.
Maggie also specialises in a variety of themed shows including:

The Victory Years - A patriotic show with military and civilian costumes and props, recreating the war years whilst acknowledging those currently in active service. This show is particularly relevant this year (2014) as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War. It is extremely popular at large-scale outdoor events but equally suitable for small venues.  Regularly booked by Dudley, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Sandwell Councils, The Royal British Legion and the National Memorial Arboretum.
Songs of Stage & Screen - Showcasing the glitz and glamour of the golden days of Hollywood and its legends, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day, to the musical theatre giants of today.  Featuring songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Wizard of Ox, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Mama Mia and many, many more.
St Georges Day – A patriotic show, celebrating all things English.  This show is also very popular at large-scale outdoor events.
A Journey Though The Decades - A trip from the days of the music hall, through the war years, the 50s, 60s and 70s and 80s.  This show is great to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary, and can be adapted with personal touches to match the occasion if desired.
Best Of British -A journey around Great Britain, with sing-a-long, patriotism and fun.
Music Hall -Feather boas and sing-a-long celebrating the good old days of the music hall.
Summer Special - Sunshine, the seaside and a trip around the world in song, ending with holiday camp style dances such as YMCA,  Agadoo and The Music Man.

What a great show Maggie treated us to. She was enjoyed by all. We look forward to seeing her and Peter again in the future. - Derek Stevens

Hi Jackie, Just a line to let you know that in spite of my fears that the small numbers would spoil the evening, I eventually had 63 sat down for dinner. Not an easy job for anyone to entertain to so few and in such a small area, but I am really pleased to say that Maggie O’Hara was great. She very quickly got involved with everyone and without exception everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will certainly book her again, so thank you for the introduction. Kindest regards - Commando Veterans Association - Fred Davies
