When Maurice was a domestic appliance engineer, he would constantly get called 'Del Boy' from his customers - not because he was a wheeler dealer but in looks! It was a constant "You're a Del Boy Lookalike and even a Del Boy Soundalike" - it got to the point of growing a moustache to disguise the look!
Maurice then went on to join a drama group and joined a panto. Then it was plays and cabarets and then more pantos. During one of his pantos word was that a lot of the audience thought David Jason was on stage! When the "write up" in the paper followed the next week it commented - 'is Maurice Canham really Del Boy!'
Apart from being a Del Boy lookalike and soundalike, Maurice interacts with people by telling jokes, selling dodgy gear (Del Boy Style!) and entertain by ad-libbing with witticisms that will create laughter at any event all in Delboy lingo. A proven icebreaker at any social and corporate occasions. Will meet and greet, mix and mingle, do anything basically, but pole dance!
Some of Maurice's clients have been BBC, ITV, Dell Computers, Orange, Vodafone, Siemens, UK Gold, Royal Bank of Scotland, Easy Jet, British Gas, Tescos, Virgin, Next, Marks & Spencer, BMW, Rover, Mercedes, Honda, Sharp, Thornton's to name but a few. He also has attended weddings - interrupting speeches and bringing humour to the reception along with birthdays, bar mitzvahs, advertising, voice overs & corporate videos.
